1. 여수의 반란군들이 무기류와 탄약이 실려 있었던 해군 정찰선을 탈취하여 22일 오전에 여수항을 출발하였으며 제주도 방향으로 향했다.
2. 갑판에 태극기가 펄럭이고 있다.
3. 인민군 함선들이 종종 남한 해역에 출몰하고 있다.
4. 제9연대는 그러한 적 함선들을 나포하든지 아니면 파괴하라는 사령관의 명 령을 받았다.
5. 그러한 정보의 가치 평가와 확실성에 대한 증거가 필요하다.
6. 만일 정보가 확실하다면 본인의 지휘하에 있는 함선들이 작전을 수행할 것 이다.
7. 확인을 위해 여수에 있는 함선 5 내지 6척과 연락할 것이다.
8. 연락을 통해, 해역을 순찰하기 위한 미 항공기가 제주도에 배치됐다.

According to the CIC Report in Yosu, presently escaped Yosu police forces and 14th Regiment are counter-attacking side by side.

SUBJECT: Yosu Report No. 67, Received at 22 1110 October 1948. From 9th
Regiment CO (221000)
1. Yosu rioters captured Navy patrol boat, and upon which loaded with weapons and ammunitions, they departed Yosu on the morning of 22nd and headed toward the direction of Cheju-do.
2. Flew "Taegokki" on the vessel.
3. Inmingun ships are often appearing on the South Korean waters.
4. The 9th Regiment received Commanding General's orders to attach or destroy such enemy shippings.
5. Indication needed for the evaluation and certainty of such information.
6. If the information were certain, the vessels under my command will proceed to take action.
7. Expect to communicate with the 5 or 6 vessels in Yosu to establish confirmation.
8. By communication, entrusted Cheju-do stationed U.S. planes to patrol the waters.
