ARMED FORCES a. American Soldier Wounded Near Parallel At approximately 081030 October a U.S. soldier was wounded by rifle fire in the vicinity of OP #10 (935.3-1696.5). Two shots struck the OP #10 dugout and at the same time personnel at OP #10 observed 4 armed North Korean Constabularymen behind a ridge at (935.25-1696.8) and a Korean civilian at approximately (935.35-1696.70). U.S. personnel at the OP fired on the NKC and the civilian. The civilian was apprehended, but the NKC disappeared. (7th Div Flash Report. B-2) b. Submarine Sighted off CHEJU-DO On 08 October an unidentified submarine was sighted off the coast of CHEJ-DO, approximately 10 miles north of CHEJU City.
