a. 제6보병사단:
(1) 제1보병연대 제2대대 E중대 제1소대가 1948년 8월 24일 오후 6시 15분 해상으로 부산(1201-1345)을 출발하여 1948년 8월 25일 자정 제주도(951-
1351)에 도착했다.

G-3 OPERATIONS REPORT
1. LOCATION OF TROOPS
Effected 15 August 1948 the following unit was relieved from assignment to United States Army Military Government in Korea, and assigned to Headquarters XXIV Corps:
502d Signal Service Photo Producing Team
2. WEATHER AND VISIBILITY
Hot and clear. Favorable to air and ground operations.
3. OPERATIONS FOR THE PERIOD
a. 6th Infantry Division:
(1) 1st Platoon, Company "E", 3d Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment departed Pusan (1201-1345) by water on 241815 August 1948 closed Cheju Do Island (951-135[illegible]) on 251200 August 1948.
(2) No Military or Civilian supplies were discharged from the port of Pusan during the period.
(3) During the period 15 to 21 August 1948, 14,591 Military Measurement Tons were outloaded from the port of Pusan.
b. 7th Infantry Division:
(1) "M" Company, 31st Infantry Regiment departed Taejon (1037-1497)
by rail on 251620 August 1948 closed Seoul (998.1-1639.8) on
252100 August 1948.
(2) Patrols for intelligence and security were conducted as follows:
48th Field Artillery Battalion, 2 motorized patrols, 31st Infantry
Regiment, 35 foot and 8 motorized patrols; 32d Infantry Regiment
75 foot and 10 motorized patrols.
(3) Effective 25 August 1948 the following units were reduced to record status:
521st Engineer Construction Group
316th Headquarters Intelligence Detachment
c. Korea Base Command:
(1) 16,104 Military Measurement Tons were discharged from the port of Inchon during the period.
(2) During the period 15 to 21 August 1948, 19,006 Military Measurement tons were outloaded from the port of Inchon.
4. RESULTS OF OPERATIONS
Minor troop displacements were effected. All major commands continued normal occupational duties.

5. MISCELLANEOUS
a. During the period 141800 August 1948 to 261800 August 1948 the
Korean Coast Guard investigated 446 vessels in Korean waters: 1 was arrested operating illegally and sent to port under guard.
b. During the period 1841 Koreans crossed the 38° Parallel from North
Korea and entered camps at Kaesong, Uijongbu, Chumunjin and Chunchon.
