3. 작전
a. 제6보병사단: 다음의 부대들의 이동이 1947년 1월 4일에 완료되었다: 제1 보병연대 G중대 소속의 보강된 1개 소대가 군산(972-1451.)에 도착했던 제63 보병연대 F 중대 소속의 소대와 임무 교대를 하기 위해 항공기 편으로 제주도
(951-1351)를 향해 부산을 출발했다. 차량 정찰이 사단 책임 구역 전 지역에 걸 쳐서 실시되었다.
5. 기타
a. 제71기동대 소속의 정찰 구축함이 수많은 소형 어선과 전동기가 달린 선박을 조사했다. 불법으로 조업한 어선 3척이 나포되었으며 해안경비대가 주둔해 있는 목포와 제주에 넘겨졌다.

G-3 OPERATIONS SUMMARY
1. LOCATION OF TROOPS
No Major Changes.
2. WEATHER AND VISIBILITY
Cold with occasional snow flurries in northern U.S. Zone.
Generally unfavorable to operations.
3. OPERATIONS FOR PERIOD
a. 6th Inf Div: The following troop displacements were effected 4 January 1947: 1 Plat reinforced of G Co 1st Inf departed Pusan by air for Cheju Island (951-1351) relieving
Plat F Co 63rd Inf which closed Kunsan (972-1451.) Motorized
Patrols were active throughout divisional zone of responsibility.
b. 7th Inf Div: The following troop displacements were
effected: 1 Plat 7th Mecz Cav Recn Trs departed Susaeng-Ni (989-
1648) and closed Seoul (999-1638); A 52 man Det 1st Bn 32nd Inf
Uijongbu(1004-1665) relieved Det 1st Bn 32nd Inf at Ongjin Peninsula (848-1689) on 081800. Old Det closed Uijongbu at 101400.
Relief was made by air shuttle. Motorized Patrols were active throughout divisional zone of responsibility.
c. Korea Base Command: 20,448 measurement tons were discharged at port of Inchon during period 021600 Jan 47 to 081600
Jan 47.
4. RESULTS OF OPERATIONS
6th and 7th Division completed minor troop displacements.
Other major commands continued normal occupational duties.
5. MISCELLANEOUS
a. The Destroyer patrol from Task Force 71 investigated numerous small fishing vessels and motor craft. 3 were arrested illegally operating and taken to Mokpo and Cheju under guard.
b. No Japanese or Korean repatriation during period.
c. 23 Koreans entered South Korea from the north and were placed in refugee compounds at Kaesong, Seoul, and Chumunjin.
