a. 이호리 (940-1151) - 1948년 5월 20일 오전 11시 30분, 무장대에 의해 부상당한 여성이 제공한 정보에 따라 작전을 수행하던 경찰이 무장대원 약 30명과 마주쳤다. 무장대원들은 경찰을 향해 발포했고 경찰도 응사하여 2명에게 부상을 입혔다. 무장대원 2명이 추가로 체포됐고, 일본제 야전 전화 3대, 전기줄 3미터, 일본제 소총 3정, 폭발물 1개가 노획됐다. (B-2)
b. 송당리 (978-1147) - 1948년 5월 19일, 송당리와 교래리(967-1141) 사이의 울창한 숲에서 작전을 수행하던 경비대 5개 중대가 여성 21명을 포함하여 약 200명의 인원을 포로로 붙잡았다. 포로들은 심문을 받기위해 제주도 비행장(948-1152)으로 끌려갔다. (B-2)

Subversive Activity.
a. Sabotage.
(1) MUJU (1065 - 1455) - At 0330, 19 May 48, police telephone lines between MUJU and CHONJU (1015 - 1432) were cut and poles were removed. (Police report)
(2) YONGPO-RI (1002 - 1453) - (Delayed report) - At 1000, 17 May 48, police telegraph wires and poles were cut in the immediate vicinity. (Police report)
(3) KUNSAN (1047 - 1400) - At 1000, 17 May 48, telephone lines between KUNSAN and MUJU (1065 - 1455) were cut. (Police report)
b. Terrorism.
TAEJU (1157 - 1439) - At approximately 1500, 20 May 48, a group of three men tossed a bomb at the home of SONG, Sae Hyung, Chief of the Inspection Section of the South TAEJU Police. The subsequent explosion destroyed a section of fence in front of the house. No casualties were reported. (A-1)

Civil Disturbances by Province.
Cheju-Do:
a. IHO-RI (940 - 1151) - At 1130, 20 May 48, a group of police, acting on information received from a woman who had been injured by the raiders, encountered a group of approximately thirty raiders, who opened fire on the police. Police returned the fire wounding two attackers. Two additional raiders were captured in addition to three Jap field telephones, three meters of wire, three Jap rifles, and a fused stick of explosive. (B-2)
b. SONGDANG-NI (978 - 1147) - On 19 May 48, five Korean Constabulary companies, operating in a heavily wooded area between SONGDANG-NI and KYORAE-NI (907 - 1141) took approximately 200 prisoners including 21 women. The prisoners were taken to CHEJU AIRSTRIP (943 - 1152) for screening. (B-2)
