a. 사보타주
(1) 제주읍 (951-1151) - 1948년 4월 22일 밤, 최근 수리된 제주읍 동부 지역 전화선이 다시 절단됐고 몇몇 전신주가 파괴됐다. (정보참모부 정기보고 제914 호, 1948년 4월 20일 자 참고.) (B-2)
(2) 대구 (1157-1439) - 1948년 4월 22일 오후 9시 40분, 철도경찰은 기차역 앞 게시판에 불을 지르려던 사람을 발견했다. 게시판에는 투표 방법과 선거 관련 정보가 붙어 있었다. 범인이 도주하자 경찰은 발포하여 그의 다리에 부상을 입혔 다. (A-1)
b. 테러
(2) 제주읍 (950-1150) - 1948년 4월 23일, 도남리(좌표 미상)에서 어느 대동 청년단원의 모친이 신원 불명 습격자들의 칼에 찔려 죽었다. 피해자의 자택은 방 화로 불에 탔다. (B-2)
(3) 제주읍 (950-1150) - 지난 4일 동안, 모든 공무원이 사임하거나 아니면 죽 어야 한다고 주장하는 삐라가 뿌려졌다. (B-2)
c. 파괴 성향의 불법 활동
제주도: 현재까지 무장대의 집결지가 변경됐다는 보고는 없다. 현재 집결지는
좌표 (930.4-1134), (930.8-1136), (970.3-1144) 지점 근처인 것으로 추정된 다. (A-2)

Subversive Activity.
a. Sabotage.
(1) CHEJU-UP (9510 - 1151) - During the night of 22-23 April 48, the recently repaired telephone lines east of CHEJU-UP were cut again and some poles destroyed. (See G-2 P/R #914, dtd 20 April 48.) (E-2)
(2) TAEFU (1157 - 1439) - At 2140, 22 April 48, Railway Police surprised a man who was attempting to set fire to a bulletin board located in front of the railway station. The bulletin board bore instructions on voting and other information relative to the election. When the culprit attempted to escape, police fired, wounding him in the leg. (A-1)
b. Terrorism.
(1) TAEGU (1157 - 1439) - At 1930, 22 April 48, a group of twenty men assembled to attack the home of the Block Leader of Section 7, Chil Song Dong, a rightist. When the crowd discovered the Block Leader was not at home, they attacked and beat his brother who had prepared to defend the house. Police are investigating. (A-1)
(2) Cheju Myun (9500 - 1150) - On 23 April 48, in the village of TO-NAM-RI, (Coordinates unknown) the mother of a United Young Men's Party member was killed by a sword thrust and her house set afire by unidentified assailants. (B-2)
(3) Cheju Myun (9500 - 1150) - During the past four days handbills have been distributed calling for all government officials to resign or face death. (B-2)
(4) MIRYANG (1173 - 1193) - On 21-22 April 48, handbills signed by the "People's Committee" and the "Democratic People's Battle Front" were distributed throughout the city. The handbills demanded the assassination of all members of the United Young Men's Party. (A-1)
c. Illegal Activity of a Subversive Nature.
CHEJU-DO: To date there have been no reported changes in the locations of assembly areas of the raiding groups, which are believed to be presently in the vicinity of: (9304 - 1134), (9308 - 1136), and (9703 - 1144). (A-2)
