Cholla-South: (EXTRACT: XXIV Corps G-2 Periodic Report #015, 23 August 47): "Series of Terroristic Incidents Touched Off in MOKPO (938 - 1307) - A running series of terroristic incidents against Leftism have been reported recently from MOKPO with the added information in each case that the police always seem to be busy elsewhere when Right wing terrorists are active; Left wing terrorists are successfully apprehended in most cases, CIC reports. The last series of four anti-Leftist terroristic incidents involved an unknown party of 20 young men who wrecked the office of the Left wing 'Korean Democratic People's Front', during a recent noon hour, and then finished by beating two men near the Hq. 'North West Korean Youth Association' members later beat a local resident for accusing the NWYMA of being responsible for the first incident. One MOKPO victim of a Right wing 'Kwang Bok Young Men's Association' beating suffered a broken shoulder and a second man was beaten when the two stopped in front of the local KBYMA office to talk. LEE, Tai Shin, head of the general affairs section of the Right wing 'National Society for Korean Independence' narrowly escaped an assault by 30 marauding Leftists who searched an entire section of neighboring SANJONG-NI (1310 - 930) for LEE." .. (EXTRACT: XXIV Corps G-2 Periodic Report #015, 23 August 47): "North Korean Officials Continually Make Extra Grain Collections - Aside from the regular grain collection demands in North Korea, extra collections are made for 'grain for thanking General KIM, Il Sung', 'grain for thanking the Red Army', 'grain for thanking a provincial, county or myun People's Committee' and 'grain for the chief of the North Korea Labor Party'. Having been forced to give up entire crop returns to official collectors, farmers are sometimes forced to buy grain at high black market prices in order to meet their assessments a C-4 source reported. A South Korean policeman whose family is in North Korea claims that when his son recently went to the grain distribution office for a rice ration he was cut off with the comment, 'Your father is a policeman, a slave of the United States Military Government in South Korea. Message from XXIV Corps - An informant of XXIV Corps (F-4) stated that at the eighth secret meeting of the "Korean Communist Congress" it was decided that on 4 September 47, both the North Korea and South Korea Communists would rise up against "U.
