(W. H. S. According to records of the G-4 office, Korean Army, the economy of South Korea is capable of furnishing the following support for the Korean Armed Forces: Quartermaster property less POL 90% Ordnance property 5% Signal property 15% Medical property and supplies 50% The above is dependent on raw materials which ECA has and will deliver to Korea. 2. Platoon tactical demonstrations put on by the 5th RCT for the Korean Army will be finished by 16 April. Two (2) demonstration groups still remain in the field, one group at 2d Brigade, Taejon and one at 5th Brigade, Kwangju. 3. Company demonstrations by the 5th RCT are now being planned. Due to the size of the demonstration group it will be unable to send the American troops to all units of the Korean Army, as was the case with the squad and platoon demonstrations. In order to get the best representation from the Korean Army, company demonstrations will take place at Uijongbu only. There will be three (3) identical demonstrations on the following days: 25 April for units of the 7th Brigade; 2 May for units of the 1st Brigade; and 5 May for key personnel representing the remaining four (4) Brigades. 4. A recent training survey accomplished by the G-3 Advisor indicates that with few exceptions and the absence new unforeseen operations the mission of completing company level training can be accomplished by 1 July. Commencing 1 July most units of the Korean Army should be sufficiently trained to enter battalion training. Throughout all phases of training concurrent training will be used to bring up those units which are lagging. 5. Dissidents: a. These documents are on their way into Army Headquarters. During the same operations the wife of the guerrilla second in command was killed.
