임시군사고문단 정보참모부가 23일 오후 2시 20분 접수
1. 이곳 경비대에 따르면, 중대를 지원할 경비대가 탄 선박이 23일 오후 5시 00분 제주도를 향해 가고 있다.
2. 경비대 연대에 문의한 결과, 연대장은 그런 명령이 없었기 때문에 군인들을 지원할 선박으로 해석하기 어렵다고 말했다.
3. 제7관구경찰청에 문의한 결과, 부산에 있던 경비대 병력 700명을 여수로 보냈다고 한다. 그러나 제주도에는 중대가 파견되지 않았다.
4. 그들은 반란군으로 추측된다. 만약 그렇지 않다면, 그들은 어떤 목적을 가지고 상륙하는 것이다.
5. 그들이 상륙하기 전에 경찰이 공격하기로 결정했다.

1. According to the Constabulary side here a ship on which
Constabulary aiding company is sailing toward Cheju-do about
231700
2. On inquiry the Constabulary Regt. Commander said it is difficult to interpretthe ship as aiding soldiers because there was no order.
3. On inquiry the 7th Div Police informed that 700 Constabulary men in Pusan were sent to Yosu. But no company was sent to Cheju-do.
4. It is guessed they are rebels. If not, they are landing on some purpose.
