SUBJECT: 1 March Movement.
SUMMARY OF INFORMATION
The following information was received by this office through liason with the National Police.
The Observation Section, Seoul Metropolitan Police, reported to the Chief of the same organization as follows:
Certain left-wing leaders stated as follows:
"Since the emancipation every political group has made attempts to hold the reins of government. The extreme right and left wing elements fostered severe action."
"Many persons feel that General HODGE's recent statements differ greatly from the original 3 Ministers Conference in Moscow declarations"
" The essential points of the right and left differ greatly, but the differences will be put aside for one great 1 March movement which will be held in an attempt to get rid of the United States Military Government."
