SUMMARY OF INFORMATION
The following information was received through liason with the National Police.
The Chief Inspector of Cheju Island Police reported to the Chief of Police, Military Government, as follows:
According to HAN, Chun Sup of Cheju District, it is the duty of all Police Stations to inspect all ships.
About the middle of Nov 46 a great number of men came to
Cheju Island and covered every village in order to buy the ammunition the Japanese Army had left behind. When the bullets were bought they were hidden in potatoes so as to disguise them from the customs officials.
