By virtue of the power vested in me by Section 44, Law for the Election of Representatives of the Korean People, of 17 March 1948, acting on recommendation of the National Election Committee, I declared on 24 May 1948 the election held on 10 May 1948 in Electoral District A and Electoral District B of North CHEJU DO null and void because voting was held in less than 50 per cent of the voting districts of these two electoral districts due to activities and violence of subversive elements.
