III - ESPIONAGE SCHOOLS 4. According to a female espionage agent interrogated from [illegible] in April 1947; the International Communist Party is operating two espionage schools in North KOREA. One is located in Haeju and the other near Sinuiju. Fifth columnists trained at these schools have been sent to South KOREA in groups of fifty, led by three officers trained in the USSR. The first group to be sent to South KOREA started about 01 March 1947 and took a week to cross the 38th parallel. She reported that some of the graduates of those schools have established a Communist terrorist training center on the island of CHEJU DO. (CIC File 14-00-100 S).
