(1) 정보를 파는 방첩대 통역사
방첩대 제주지구대는 제주도 경찰감찰청 전 부청장인 이형석으로부터 방첩대 제주지구대에 근무하는 통역사 김청안이 방첩대에는 믿을 수 없는 인물이라는 정보를 입수했다. 조사 결과 김청안은 방첩대 통역관으로 일하면서 약 4개월 동안 매달 2000엔 가량의 돈을 받고 제주경찰감찰청장에게 정보를 제공해온 것으로 밝혀졌다. 김청안은 방첩대에서 즉시 해고됐다.

(2) 테러
한국인들에게 있어서 테러와, 폭행 그리고 칼로 찌르는 행위 등은 그들이 추구하는 어떤 목적을 달성하기 위한 유일하고도 논리적인 방법으로 보인다. 전과 마찬가지로 여러 청년단체(주로 우익)들은 대부분의 테러 행위에 책임이 있다. 이런 테러행위들은 유엔(한국임시)위원단의 입국과 더불어 각 청년단체가 단원 모집과 활동자금 모금에 경쟁적으로 나서면서 더욱 빈번해지고 있다.
서북청년단은 비교적 광범위하게 자금모금 운동을 벌이고 있으며 특정인이나 단체가 그들의 요구에 따르지 않으면 협박하고, 협박이 통하지 않으면 그 때는 폭력을 행사한다. 11월 광주의 서북청년단은 광주의 한공리에게 기부금을 낼 것을 여러 차례 요구했지만 한은 그들의 요구를 거절했다. 1947년 11월 26일 김상건과 이광영 등 서북청년단 소속 단원 2명이 한의 자택을 급습해 칼을 들고 공격했다. 한은 칼을 붙잡으며 대항하다 숨졌다. 나중에 경찰에 체포된 이광영도 이 싸움에서 중상을 입었다. 이광영은 현재 광주에서 재판을 기다리고 있다.
서북청년단은 모든 월남자들을 체포해 월남 이유를 심문하고 간첩 여부를 확인하려는 습관이 있다. 1947년 12월 1일 인천에서 서북청년단원들이 이봉수를 심문하기 위해 본부로 데려갔다. 12월 3일 인천 방첩대는 서북청년단 본부를 급습해 이봉수를 찾아냈다. 심문 결과 이봉수는 간첩임을 자백하도록 날마다 폭행당한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 서북청년단원 4명은 △경찰권 행사, △한국인의 생명과 안전 위협, △사법행정 방해 등의 혐의로 경찰에 체포돼 재판을 받았다.
제주 방첩대는 1947년 12월 3일께 서북청년단 소속 단원 6명이 애월에서 주민 1명을 테러하고, 애월리와 인근 지역에서 몇몇 주민들에게 기부금을 내도록 강요했다고 보고했다.
