전라도: 약간의 활동이 있음. 3개의 소총 중대가 연락이 잘 안 됨.
제주도: 제9연대가 제2연대로 완전히 교체. 무장대 600명이 1월 1일 제2연대를 급습. 무장대 30명 사망, 10명 포로. 경비대는 사망자 없음.
9. 전체 사망자, 제주도, 12월 21~28일: 503명 전체 포로, 제주도, 12월 21~28일: 176명 그러나 이 기간 소총 17정 노획.

WEEKLY ACTIVITIES OF PMAG
G3, USAFIK Chief, PMAG 4 Jan 1948 WLRisc
1. Executive Officer, Col Wright, departed 3 January on
1 month emergency leave.
2. Advisory Group in Pusan to live in Hialeah area.
3. General Order creating arms and services in Korean Army issued.
4. Total strength in Korean Army now 68,225. (3225 over authorization.)
5. Four classes now at KMA totaling 1300.
6. Situation: Kangwon-do - quiet.
Cholla-don - slight activity; 3 rifle companies failed to make good contact.
Cheju-do - 9th Regt wholly relieved by 2nd Regt.
Raiders promptly attacked 2nd Regt at 3 towns on 1 Jan, by a total of
600. 30 Rebels were killed, 10 prisoners taken; no Constabulary killed.
7. 175 Reserve Officers graduated KMA.
17 doctors finished indoctrination at KMA - also 92 others of technical branches completed short course.
8. Last week, a well-armed group of 11 persons was captured at Taegu. They were armed with rifles and carbines and pistols totaling 13. They also had one mortar and many grenades.
9. Total killed, Cheju-do, 21-28 Dec: 503
Total Captured, " " 21-28 Dec: 176 but 17 rifles captured during the period.
10. Trials resulting from recent insurrection completed.
