I, as an Officer of the heaviest responsibilty in the Army, recieved your information as one of the best tidings ever had since I assumed the present Orrice. Lt Col SONG YOU CHAN and his American Advisor demonstrated their fine ability at the job, engaged in hard and painstaking in such a hostile island. Their historical work will be introduced to all Officers and men of the Korean Armed Forces by a statement of the Supreme G/S in the nearest future. I will also recommend President RHEE to issue a Presidential proclamation based on your suggestion. I like to promise you that the Korean Army Headquarters will be information Lt Col SONG's work in detail and will make a proper award.
