입법의원 관련 : 1월 13일 남조선과도입법의원 71명이 참석한 모임에서 아래의 의원들이 취임 선서를 했다.

의장을 맡은 김규식 박사가 하지 장군의 서한을 낭독했다. 서한에서 하지 장군은 여운형, 장건상 등 지금까지 의석을 거절해온 좌익 지명자들에게 1월 15일 이전에 등록해야 하며 그렇지 않을 때에는 의석을 잃게 될 것이라고 충고했다. 또한 그는 서한에서 제주도 지사에게 의석을 거절한 제주 출신 좌익들을 대신할 두 명의 입법의원을 선출할 선거 절차를 밟도록 지시했다.

(2) Legislative Notes - Meeting on 13 January with seventy-one members present, the Interim Legislative Assembly saw the following members take the oath of office:
TCH'EI, Dong O KIM, Do Yun
YAMM, Chawng Kwan SAT, Sang Choon
SHIN, Ik Hi CHUNG, Choo Kyo
Dr KIM, Kyu Sik, presiding chairman, read General HODGE's letter which disclosed the fact that the General has advised LYUH, Woon Hyung and CHANG, Kin Sang, Leftist appointees who have thus far declined their seats, that they must register with the Assembly before 15 January or lose their memberships. Also, the letter stated that the General has directed the governor of CHEJU DO to proceed with the election of two members to replace those Leftists from that province who previously had refused to take their seats.
