c. Terrorism - Information from the CIC, rated A-2, discloses that terrorist activities have been planned by certain Right Wing organizations. These activities will allegedly take place against
Left Wing political leaders and their party headquarters on 15 August 1946. There seems to be a deliberate plan to have the terrorists

come down from N. KOREA, commit their acts, and return, so that prosecution by United States Military Government will not be possible.

4. CIVIL RELATIONS.
a. Disturbances - The civil disturbance reported during the period is shown on Incl #1.

5. SUMMARY OF INTELLIGENCE IN ADJACENT AREAS.

6. MISCELLANEOUS.
a. The following two items are extracts from 7th Division
G-2 Periodic Report #293, dated 20 July 46:
(1) 31st Infantry reports that at 2318, 17 July 1946, an EM of Company "D", 754th Tank Bn while returning with the guard in a 1/4 ton truck from SOBINGGO¹ SIDING noticed a wire, about windshield height, stretched across the road. The driver stopped his vehicle in time to avoid hitting the wire, which was located approximately 3/4 of a mile from the company area, just inside the village of SOBINGGO. 754th Tank Bn is investigating the incident.
(2) 32nd Infantry reports that at 2100 on 14 July 46, a Mr. KIM, Su Yun and his son were apprehended at TONGDUCHON-NI²
KIM had in his possession 2640 Bank of Chosen yen and 1437
Russian occupational yen. KIM said he came to SEOUL on 10 July from HAMHUNG³ and obtained the Russian money from a friend in
SEOUL who asked him to exchange it while he was in the North.
KIM also carried a pass from the chief of police of HAMHUNG, dated from 15 May 46 to 10 July 46. One of his 100 yen notes is a possible counterfeit. KIM has been turned over to the
CIC for investigation.
