이 대통령 내외는 총참모장과 여러 한국인 관리들을 대동하고 오늘 남한의 지방을 방문하기 위해 특별열차편으로 서울을 출발했습니다. 대통령과 그 일행은 다음주 말 서울로 귀경할 계획입니다. 우리는 대통령이 최대한 많은 도시와 읍면을 방문하고, 적어도 하루 2～3차례 연설할 계획을 이해합니다.
4월 9일의 제주도 방문을 제외하고는 이번 지방 방문은 지난해 8월 취임 이후 처음으로 서울을 떠난 것입니다.

President and Mrs. Rhee, accompanied by Supreme Chief of Staff and other Korean officials, left Seoul today by special train to visit South Korean Provinces. President and party plan return Seoul toward end next week. We understand President proposes make appearances at maximum number cities, towns and villages and deliver minimum of two or three speeches daily. Apart from trip Cheju Island April 9, this marks first time President has left Seoul since inauguration last August.
