파괴활동
공산주의자들은 선전과 대원모집, 재편성 활동을 증가시키고 있다. 계획된 공산주의자들의 폭동과 소요에 대한 추가일정이 계속 접수되고 있다. 신뢰도 A, B, C인 7건의 보고서는 10월이라고 언급했고, 2건은 한국문제에 관한 유엔의 활동과 폭동이 연계돼 있다고 언급했다. 10월 1일과 6일 제주도의 공산주의자들은 다시 토벌대를 습격했다. 경찰관은 7명이 사망하고, 수명이 다쳤으며, 경비대원 1명이 사망하고, 4명이 부상을 입었다. 국방경비대는 10월 6일 남제주군을 가로지르며 소탕작전을 시작했다.
위에 열거된 제주도를 제외하고는 이 시기 공산주의자들의 활동으로 경찰관 1명이 암살당하고 공산주의자 1명이 숨졌다. 우익인사들이 불러일으킨 보고된 폭력행위는 없었다. 1명이 습격을 당했고, 또다른 1명은 정체불명의 정파관계자들에 의해 희생됐다.

2. Communists are increasing their activities of propagandizing, recruiting and reorganizing. Additional dates for scheduled Communist riots and uprisings continue-to-be received. Seven reports, A, B and C, cite October and 2 tie the riots in with action by the United Nations on the Korean question. On 1 and 6 October Communists on Cheju Do struck again at security forces. Seven police were killed, several wounded, 1 constabularyman killed and four wounded. The constabulary
on 6 October began a sweep across the Southern gun.
Except for Cheju Do, as enumerated above, Communist activities during the period include one policeman-assassinated and 1 Communist killed. There was no violence reported as being caused by rightists. One man was attacked and another killed by persons of unknown political affiliations.
