The meeting seemed to be a special [illegible] gathering of SKLP members as no prior notice had been given of the meeting. Speeches given at the meeting concerned the financial status of the organization, the necessity of raising money and reason and purpose of same as well as the possible elimination of the 38th parallel resulting from agreements reached at the Joint Commission. sesiṁs. When the Police attempted to break up the meeting one of them was beaten soundly. Shortly before other police arrived the crowd dispersed with most of them taking to the hills. 4. Strikes School ft[illegible] on Chŏju island was found to have no political basis with the students demanding to have established a senior high school and that the teachers refrain from teaching Japanese. The matter is being discussed amicably and measures are being taken to see that those demands are met.
