1. 여수의 반군들이 무기류와 탄약이 실려 있었던 해군 정찰선을 탈취하여 22일 오전에 여수항을 출발하였으며 제주도 방향으로 향했다.
2. 갑판에 태극기가 펄럭이고 있다.
3. 인민군(Inmingun) 함선들이 종종 남한해역에 출몰하고 있다.
4. 제9연대는 그러한 적 함선들을 나포하든지 아니면 파괴하라는 사령관의 명령을 받았다.
5. 그러한 정보의 가치 평가와 확실성에 대한 증거가 필요하다.
6. 만일 정보가 확실하다면 본인의 지휘 하에 있는 함선들이 작전을 수행할 것이다.
7. 확실한 증거를 확보하기 위하여 여수에 있는 5척 내지 6척의 함선과의 통신 소통을 시도할 것으로 예상한다
8. 통신에 의하여 제주도 해역을 정찰하기 위해 주둔되어 있는 공군기가 제주도에 배치되었다.

According to the CIC-Report in Yosu, presently escaped Yosu police forces and 14th Regiment are counterattacking side by side.

SUBJECT: Yosu Report No. 67, Received at 22 1110 October 1948. From 9th Regiment CO (221000)
1. Yosu rioters captured Navy patrol boat, and upon which loaded with weapons and ammunitions, they departed Yosu on the morning of 22nd and headed toward the direction of Cheju-do.
2. Flew "Taegokki" on the vessel.
3. Inmingun ships are often appearing on the South Korean waters.
4. The 9th Regiment received Commanding General's orders to attack or destory such enemy shippings.
5. Indication needed for the evolution and certainty of such information.
6. If the information were certain, the vessels under my command will proceed to take action.
