(1) CHEJU DO Governor's Assassination Planned
A CIC informant (C-3) has reported that thirteen members of the provincial government of CHEJU DO have recently joined the SOUTH KOREA LABOR PARTY. This group is planning the assassination of the governor on 15 August. The Governor, an extreme rightist, is unpopular with the leftists and several handbills demanding his assassination have been distributed. (CIC S/I)
