(a) 애월리 (931-1146) - 1948년 5월 3일 오후 1시 30분, 약 100명의 무리가 마을을 공격하여 경비대원 36명, 경찰 17명과 교전을 벌였다. 추가 세부 사항은 조사 중이다. (B-2)
(b) 월평리1(958-1148) - (추가보고) - 1948년 4월 30일 오후 11시 30분, 카빈으로 무장한 몇 명을 포함한 50명의 무리가 마을에 들어와 대동청년단원 2명의 집에 불을 질렀다. (B-2)

SINSANG-DONG (1175 - 1440) - (not on map) - At 2300, 2 May 48, the homes of the Chairman and a Member of the Election Committee were visited by a group of unidentified persons who voiced threats against the owners. Both men were absent at the time of the visit. No damage was done to the homes. (Police report)
3. Civil Relations.
a. General Conditions.
CHOCHON-NI (903 - 1154) - On 3 May 48, the entire election committee resigned stating as the reason that conditions were "too dangerous" for them to continue in their duties. (B-2)
b. Civil Disturbances by Province.
(1) Cheju-Do:
(a) AEWOL-NI (931 - 1146) - At 1330, 3 May 48, a group of approximately 100 men attacked the village where they were met by 36
Constabularymen and 17 policemen who opened fire. Additional details are being sought. (B-2)
(b) WOLTONG-NI (958 - 1143) - (not on map) - (Delayed report) At 2330, 30 April 48, a crowd of fifty men, several of whom were armed with carbines, entered the village and set fire to the homes of two members of the United Young Men's Party. (B-2)
(2) Kyongsang-North:
(a) CHEIPO-DONG (1236 - 1474) - (Delayed report) - At 0300, 1 May
48, a crowd of twenty attacked and killed KIM, Man Jo, a prominent rightist resident. (B-2)
(b) KOK KANG-DONG (1236 - 1474) - (not on map) - (Delayed report) At 0500, 1 May 48, a crowd of twenty attacked and seriously injured the head of the local United Young Men's Party. (B-2)

POHANG (1234 - 1461) - Further investigation by S-2, 1st Infantry of the incident in which two persons were reported killed (G-2 P/R # 925, dtd 1 May
48) indicates the disturbance to have been the result of a drunken brawl to which no political significance can be attached. (A-1)
