붉은기를 달고 있는 북한선박 1척이 7월 11일 오후 5시 제주도 근방에서 해안경비대의 ‘탄천호’에 의해 억류되었다. 해안경비대는 배 위에서 실탄 2만 3,000발, 99식 소총 여러 정과 기관총 12정을 발견했다. 이 사건에 대해서는 세밀한 조사가 진행 중이다. (방첩대 긴급보고. 해안경비대 보고)

b. SOVIET Ship Detained By Coast Guard
A North Korean ship, flying a red flag, was taken into custody by the Korean Coast Guard Cutter "TANCHUN" near CHEJU-DO at 111700 July. The Korean Coast Guard found 23,000 rounds of ammunition, many model 99 rifles and 12 machine guns on the ship. A further investigation of this incident is being made.
