(1) 제주읍 - 1948년 5월 11일 보병 제20연대 분견대는 활주로 남쪽에 대규모의 무리가 나타나자 긴장한 채 두 차례나 경계 태세를 취했다. 그 무리는 활주로 바로 서쪽에 위치한 작은 마을에서 주민들과 교전을 벌였다. 다음 날 오전 11시까지 총격전은 계속됐다. (A-1)
(2) 하귀리 - 1948년 5월 12일 약 300명으로 구성된 한 무리가 경찰 트럭에 사격을 가했다. 경찰은 미제 카빈총으로 무장한 기습자들 가운데 2명을 사살했다. (B-2)
(3) 좌표 943-1141 지역 - 경비대가 한 마을에 진입해 25명의 사람들을 체포했다. 그들은 창으로 무장하고 있었다. 상세한 내용은 확인중이다. (B-2)
(4) 좌표 946-1145 지역 - 경비대가 굴과 천막 속에서 살고 있는 주민 193명을 체포했다. 포로들 가운데 1명이 경비대를 ‘반도’ 본부로 안내하는데 동의했다. 경비대는 조사하기 위해 나머지 주민들을 억류했다. (B-2)

Civil Disturbances by Province.
a. Cheju-Do:
(1) CHEJU-UP (951 - 1151) - On 11 May 40, the 20th Infantry Detachment was alerted twice, due to the appearance of a large group of persons south of the AIRSTRIP (948 - 1152), who were exchanging shots with people in the small village just west of the AIRSTRIP. At 1100, 12 May 48, the shooting was continuing. (A-1)
(2) ILGWI-RI (940 - 1148) - On 12 May 48, a group of approximately 300 persons, fired on a police truck. Police killed two of the attackers who were armed with U.S. Carbines. (B-2)
(3) At coordinates (943 - 1141) - Korean Constabularymen entered a village and took twenty-five prisoners, who had been armed with spears Details are being sought. (B-2)
(4) At coordinates (940 - 1145) Korean Constabularymen apprehended 193 persons, living in caves and tents. One of the prisoners aggreed to take the Constabulary to "rebel" headquarters. The remainder are being held for questioning. (B-2)
