(1) 제주도에서 드러난 공산주의자 음모
서북청년단 제주도지부는 1948년 10월 31일 제주도에 ‘인민공화국’ 정부를 수립하기 위해 공산주의자들이 꾀한 음모를 폭로했다. 이 음모에는 포로들을 석방하고, 이들과 민주애국청년동맹 회원들에게 무기와 탄약을 주기 위해 경찰간부와 고위 관리들을 암살하려 한 계획이 포함돼 있다. 이 사건에 연루된 제주도 경찰 11명과 남로당원이 경찰에 체포되어, 쿠데타 음모가 완전히 제거됐다. (A-2)
(2) 제주도의 게릴라 활동
이 기간에 게릴라가 지서 3곳과 마을 2곳을 공격했다는 보고가 있었다. 이 공격으로 경찰 2명, 경비대원 1명, 게릴라대원 50명이 피살됐다. 폭도들은 마을을 공격하는 동안 40여 채의 건물과 주택을 방화하고 파괴했다. (A-2)
제주도 경찰은 11월 11일 게릴라가 신엄리와 조천리를 공격해 주택 약 110채를 방화했다고 보고했다. 이 공격으로 폭도 80명과 경찰 1명이 숨졌다. (우리는 현재 사살된 폭도가 80명이라는 수치를 인정하지 않고 있다)

(3) Guerrilla Activities on CHEJU DO (Restricted)
During the period, intensified constabulary operations against the guerrillas resulted in many casualties to them, including approximately 146 guerrillas killed. (0-3) In one fire fight against the raiders, the second in command of the CHEJU DO "Peoples Army," one LSE, Duk Soo, was killed. (A-1) Quantition of ammunition, weapons and clothing have also been confiscated from the guerrillas. No constabulary casualties have been reported. Several delayed reports disclosed that the guerrillas made 4 attacks on the police and 2 attacks on rightists. These acts resulted in the death of 4 police, 4 rightists and 2 guerrillas.
