2. 2월 14일부터 2월 24일까지의 기간을 다루는 추가보고에 따르면 전라남도에서 한국 육군-경찰과 폭도들 사이에 16번의 충돌이 있었다. 민간이 8명, 경찰 9명, 그리고 지역 방위대 2명이 사망하고 폭도 24명이 생포됐다.
같은 기간에 대한 추가보고는 경상북도에서 경찰과 폭도 사이에 5번의 충돌로 폭도 11명이 사망했음을 보여준다다. 민보단은 2월 20일 제주도에서 76명의 반도들을 처형했다. 처형에는 창이 사용됐다.
논평: 적법절차의 권리를 부정당한 폭도들이라 할지라도 인간에게 저지른 이러한 잔악성은 한국 정부 고위 관리들의 주위를 환기했으며 군중들에 의한 그러한 행동은 미국의 민주주의 인식과 상반된다고 지적됐다.

1. Rebels ambushed a police column in Cholla-Namdo province and 19 policemen, 2 civilian drivers and 6 members of the local defense corps were killed. Police lost 1 light machine gun, 8 carbines, and 10 Japanese rifles to the Rebels.
National police in Seoul arrested 58 Leftists, suspected of planning riots and disturbances for 1 Mar, and 69 students, members of the Democratic Students Alliance, a Leftist orgn.
3. Have been no reports received by this office to indicate that any unusual civil disturbances, Communist uprisings, or riots occurred on 1 Mar, Sam Il Day.
Comment: 1 Mar, is a historic day in Korean and is known
as Sam Il Day. It derives its significance from the revolt of the Korean patriots against the Japanese occupation in 1919. In the past it has been marked by widespread Communist uprising and demonstrations. Although considerable information had been recd indicating Communist plans for demonstrations on Sam Il Day, it is believed they were discouraged by the extensive counter preparations made by the National Police.
2. Delayed reports covering the period 14 Feb to 24 Feb indicate that in 16 clashes between Korean Army-police forces and rebels in Cholla-Namdo Prov, 39 rebels, 8 civs, 9 policemen, and 2 members of the local defense corps were killed, and 24 rebels were captured.
Further delayed reports covering the same period indicate that in 5 clashes between police and rebels in the Prov of Kyongsang
Pukto 11 rebels were killed. The Min Bo Dan (People's Protective
Corps) executed 76 rebels on Cheju Do on 20 Feb. Spears were used in the execution.
Comment: This brutality against humans even though rebels
who were denied the right of due process of law have been forcefully brought to the attention of high Korean officials and pointed out that such action by mobs is contrary to American precept of Dem.
