(추가보고) - 제주도(950-1151)에 주둔 중인 제51야전포병대대 분견대의 2월 13일 자 보고에 따르면, 지난 10일 제주읍(951-1151)에서 300~400여 명의 학생이 반미시위를 벌이고 비행장에 "불을 질렀다". 군정은 이들을 해산시켰고 제51야전포병대대 분견대가 화재를 진화했다. 폭도나 군인 사상자는 없었다. 상황은 "처리 중"으로 보고됐고, 2월 13일까지 추가적인 소요는 없었다. 보고 기간 마감 시점에서 추가 세부 사항은 없다.

Subversive Activity.
a. Terrorism.
On 10 February 1947, the TAEGU CIC office received information from a
Confidential Informant that the "Red Flag Youngmen's Association" is making plans for a 1 March riot in TAEGU (1157 - 1439). This secret organization has an approximate membership of 100 persons and is responsible for the printing and the distribution of the inflamatory posters and handbills that have been circulating in TAEGU. The "Red Flag Youngmen's
Association" is giving money to children and beggers and instructing them to plaster the inflamatory posters and handbills on walls and buildings after curfew hours. Informant further stated that secret meetings are being held after curfew hours in private homes by fifteen high officials of the "Red Flag Youngmen's Association"; five of them formerly belonged to the Communist Party in North Korea. Numbers in combination with a crossed arrow (See below) are being marked in either chalk or pencil on the outside of policemen's homes, so that rioters will know specifically whether it is a policeman's, police official's, or police chief's or vicechief's home. CIC puts an evaluation of B-2 on the information.

The students at the TAEGU Normal School have joined the strike of the students of the TAEGU Agricultural College, but none of the other schools in TAEGU are participating.

b. Cholla-South:
(Delayed report) - The 51st FA Bn, Detachment on CHEJU Island (950 -
1151) reported on 13 Feb that on 10 Feb, 300 to 400 students in CHEJU
City (951 - 1151) staged an Anti-U.S. demonstration and set the airfield "afire". MG dispersed the crowd and the 51st FA Bn Detachment put out the fire. No casualties to rioters or military forces. Situation was reported as "in hand" with no further disturbances up to and including 13 Feb. No further details available at close of period.
