(1) 미군이 점령하기 직전 북위 38도 선 이남에 주둔하고 있던 일본군 병력의 총수는 다음과 같다. 이 자료는 일본 대표단이 제공한 것이다.

2. 일본군의 무장해제 진행 상황
일본 제17방면군은 2개월 분 식량을 비축하고 있다. 제주도 주둔군은 6개월 분 식량을 확보하고 있다.

(1) The following figures for troop distribution south of 38 N Lat iamediately prior to US occupation were provided by Japenese representatives:

- Divisional District of Taegu (Talkyu) 13,480
- PUSAN (FUZAN) Fortress 15,420
- YOSU (PEISUI) Fortress 680

The subsequent southward withdrawal of troops has changed this distribution. Revised figures will be provided et intervals as obtained.
(2) The following list of officers in charge of conmunications troops in KOREA has been provided by the Japanese:
(d) Lt Col NAGAOKA Moritaka, commander of the 11th Communications Regiment (DENSHIN PENTAI), in charge of radio telegraphic communications for SAI SHU-TO.
