Political Section: (6) Terrorism On 16 October 1947, it was reported that about thirty members of the Cheju Daidong Youth Corps set out to tour the island for the purpose of political rallies and recruiting new members. With the assistance of local police, the young men assembled the villagers together and forced them to listen to speeches. Whenever a villager appeared to disapprove of the propaganda, he was soundly beaten by the Daidong. Five terroristic acts were reported.
