b. 1949년 5월 12일에서 19일 사이에 실시된 (군사)작전 동안에 한국 국방경비대 본부는 지리산에서 게릴라 41명이 사망했거나 부상당했으며 1명이 생포되었다고 보고했다. 38선 남방과 38선에 인접한 지역에서 4명이 생포되었다. 경상남도 지방에서 30명이 사망했거나 부상당했다. 제주도에서 7명이 사망했거나 부상당했으며 93명이 생포되었다. 이 시기 동안의 사상자 총수는 다음과 같다. 78명이 사망했거나 부상당했으며 98명이 생포되었다.

b. During operations for the period 12 May to 19 May 1949 Korean Constabulary Headquarters reports 41 guerrillas killed or wounded and 1 captured in the Chiri-San area (1073-1375); 4 captured in the area adjacent to and south of the 38° North Parallel; 30 killed or wounded in the Province of Kyongsang - Namdo; and 7 killed or wounded and 93 captured at [Cheju-Do]. (915-1151); Total for the period: 78 killed or wounded and 98 captured.
