경비대는 7월 25일과 26일 이틀에 걸친 산악지역 작전에서 폭도 10명을 생포했다. 생포된 폭도 중 1명의 소지품에는 현금 10만 원과 폭도들이 사용하는 암호, 반동분자로 분류된 우익인사의 명단 등이 있었다. 이 자는 생포된 직후 탈출했다. (방첩대 정기보고 제181호, B-2)

(2) Raiders Captured on CHEJU-D. (Delayed Report)
During an operation in the mountains on CHEJU-DO on 25 and 26 July the Korean Constabulary captured 10 raiders. In the possession of one of the captured raiders was 100,000 won, pass words used by the raiders and a list of rightists classified as reactionaries. The man who possessed these items escaped shortly after his capture. (CIC F/R #181. B-2)
