논평 : 미군사고문단원 4명이 우연히 폭도 38명의 처형 장면을 목격했는데, 그들이 도착했을 때 이미 38명은 처형되어 있었다. 이전 보고들에 따르면 폭도들은 총살 집행부대 앞에서 군인이나 경찰에 의하여 처형되었다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이것은 민보단에 의해 행해진 대량학살에 대한 최초의 보고이다.

(1) CHEJU-DO
A dela ed report indicates that on 20 February, 76 rebels from TODU-R1 (948-1141) were executed by the MIN BO DAN (Peoples Protective Corps), who sed spears in the performance of these executions. Five women and numerous children of middle school age were included in the group. National Police and HONKI DAI (Korean Army Military Police) supervised the operation. (KA Report)
COMMENT: Four members of KMAG witnessed, by chance, the execution of 38 of the rebels and counted 38 already dead when they arrived. Previous reports have indicated that rebels were being executed by Armed Forces personnel, before a firing squad. This is the first report of a mass execution being conducted by the MIN BO DAN.
